It’s been a while since my last rant, so here we go ….
Every so often, I am struck by the lack of basic manners displayed by some people, many of then in their early 20s. They don’t offer a seat to an older person or they cut in front of others in line or they don’t consider that their actions may affect people around them. They talk loudly. They don’t move over a little to allow two-way traffic on the sidewalk. Sometimes, people don’t seem to notice they are sharing the space with other people. Can drivers not avoid the large puddle of rainwater that will splash all over me?
I awoke yesterday to find it was raining. Ugh. <*sigh*>
It wasn’t so much that I was going to have to juggle a tote and an umbrella or that it was going to be a dreary day. The thing I dreaded was having to deal with traffic. It seems that drivers in Baltimore – or at least the ones traveling through my neighborhood – really like puddles. They drive through at seemingly faster-than-needed speeds, resulting in waves of water splashing pedestrians who just want to cross the street. Given years of avoiding the wave, I’m an old pro.
